Partnership Vision

A Partnership vision and strategy

Developing a youth ministry vision and strategy at partnership level invites us to ask some important questions:

  • What do we want for and from our young people?
  • What expectations do we have for them?
  • How can we listen to our young people?
  • What opportunities can we encourage and facilitate at church or inter-church level and what can we best do at Partnership level to enable the holistic spiritual development of young people?

Doing nothing is not an option. We do not wish to deprive our young people of the opportunities that will nurture the faith given to them in Baptism and call them to a fulfilled life as they become all that God created them to be.

Parishes and partnerships are called to develop their vision for an on-going programme of children’s ministry and youth ministry, which includes sacramental preparation as an integral part of the process. Some suggested steps to take this forward and examples of vision statements can be found in the next sections of the toolkit.
